XXL MAG 13 ANNIVERSARY "SHYNE X JEEZY"

This issue marks the 13th Anniversary of XXL Magazine (for some reason Jeezy always ends up on it & he always ends up sharing it with somebody). But the good people from XXL Mag always deliver good stuff as far as the latest hip-hop interviews, fashion & reviews.

JAY-Z X GREEN LANTERN "CREATIVE CONTROL"

New music to us that is, from Jay-Z and his go to DJ Green Lantern. Heres a few words from Green himself:"Dnt know if u saw yet but Team Invasion compiled all the shit I’ve done with/for/including Hov for the last few years and calling it Creative Control.. A name I came up with for a series where I’m just working with acapellas and have full Creative Control (nothing at all to do with Dame Dash’s company of the same name).. Anyways its pretty much a “best-of” and defntly NOT anything like Presidential Invasion was supposed to be.. Dope nonetheless tho … There , long enough email? #okayBye"

PHRESH HEIR "WHO THE F*** IS.."

This joint came out by Phresh Heir a while ago just haven't found time to put it on the blog. I grabbed a copy when I was down at Freshmen clothing store (Downtown Detroit 204 E. Grand River & Broadway) and I was impressed I'm waiting to see what they do on they next project they put out.

New music from dudes Thesaurus featuring Aviator Ace & my dude Dev Holly. My good friend Streety told the song was dope and she didnt lie. Be on the lookout for more music these boys aint playing.

RASHAD MORGAN "TELL EM WHAT THEY WANNA HEAR"

Man... this song is like 4 years old by now, it dropped on the radio then the Remix came out (which got turned into a video) after his signing to Atlanta based T.I. started imprint Grand Hustle in the summer in 2006. It featured T.I. and Young Dro but nothing really surfaced, it was behind the scenes clip at the video shoot nothing dropped, it was put on the Grand Hustle Vol.4 mixtape that released in stores (Target, Best Buy, FYE) nothing happened. I beleive Rashad Morgan or as we used to call him Ray Ray was dropped after delays and a roster change at the label. Only time will tell whats next Detroit stand up, together we grind, divided we fail...

WALE "MORE ABOUT NOTHING"

One day on Wale's Twitter he tweeted that he had a big announcement at 2PM... I eneded up going to sleep because I had just got off at 6 in the morning and need some rest. So when I woke up this is what the world was blessed with, can't wait for it to drop on August 3rd. The sequel to one of the best conceptual "The Mixtape About Nothing" mixtapes... "More About Nothing"

STORM WATCHES

I was at work last night and some dude came through with family copping some food and as I was passing the food to him he grabbed it and out of nowhere I just saw this watch like nothing ever made... Immediately I was in aww and asked about the watch he even took it of and left me hold it... It had a little weight on it but the watch was just crafted dope lol... So I did my research (Google.com) and everything was on deck... Watches, wallets, glasses, clothing, for men, women, teens and unisex. It seems to be a brand from overseas might have to do a background check on Wikipedia, get the whole rundown... but until then I give you STORM. Check the site out here while you at it

This is the watch the dude had on. To me its the dope thing I've seen since G-Shock.

RICK ROSS FT. CURREN$Y & WIZ KHALIFA "SUPER HIGH REMIX"

Out the blue visuals for the remix to Super High featuring Wiz Khalifa & Curren$y an unlikely collaboration but they did the song justice and hopefully gained the young gunnas some new fans. From what I can tell the dudes in the underground are starting to come from the shadows and do they thang. Rick Ross knows how to promote a song thats for sure with visuals shot by Spiff whos done the majority of Ross' videos lately keeps it original not to flashy but dope all at the same time. Teflfon Don coming soon

GO GETTERS "WORLD RECORDS HOLDERS"

So if you don't know about Kanye West early work before Roc-A-Fella and some of stuff he did with the Go Getters from Chicago (Kanye West, G.L.C., Timmy G and Arrowstar) with features from Mikkey Malsted, Rhymefest, Miss Criss, Shayla G and Really Doe and production help from Boogz, Arrowstar and Brian “All Day” Miller. Now after all these years the album they worked on from Kon-Man production by John Monopoly and Don C has surfaced.
